About the event

Celebrate Pride Month in Nashville with a 1-mile LGBTQ+ walking tour of Centennial Park, led by local queer historian Sarah Calise, the founder and director of Nashville Queer History and curator of Community Histories for Vanderbilt Libraries. Featuring eight tour stops, we'll explore subjects like queer women in the suffrage movement, cruising culture, queer music history, the Civil War, Pride protests, and more.

Accessibility: This tour includes both outdoor walking on paved and unpaved surfaces. Participants can choose to climb steps or remain on level ground outdoors. It's summertime: don't forget your hat, sunscreen and water! Free on-site parking with 96 spaces, including four accessible spaces. Visitors are not allowed to park on the grass or in the designated drop-off lane, as these areas are for vehicle access and emergency vehicles only.
