ICON Annual Meeting & Trivia

It’s that time again!

You are cordially invited to the ICON annual meeting on Thursday, June 27th at the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee. We will be electing new board members, announcing new opportunities for professional development, and reviewing our wins from the previous year.

Community Histories 2024: Are you passionate about preserving local histories? Do you have experience capturing oral histories? Do you love Nashville history? Then we have the perfect volunteer opportunity for you! Next year, ICON will pilot our Community Histories program to collect oral histories and highlight Nashville historic sites. Come out to learn more about how you can get involved.

Speaking of getting involved: We currently have three board positions up for re-election. A vote will be held to elect new members. To be placed on the ballot, please send your name and which position you are interested in to iconnashmuseums@gmail.com.

• Treasurer: Submits all state mandated reports for audit and tax compliance. Provides financial oversight for all activities paid by ICON. Attends all board meetings and provides financial report. Experience with grant-writing and reporting preferred.
• Vice President: Serves as membership liaison. Plans and attends all monthly programming. Attends all board meetings and provides programming updates.
• Secretary: Manages online resources (website, social media, etc.). Attends all board meetings and sends notes to all board members.
